Qualification: Level 3 or above (Childcare Learning & Development or equivalent)

We are currently recruiting for sessional workers to work within the business.  Your main objective would be to provide high quality childcare and planned activities appropriate to the age and stage of development of the children and maintain a safe, secure and caring environment.

Candy Stripes is registered with Care & Social Standards Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) as a 58 place day care nursery.  We offer extra services such as a mobile crèche facility, breakfast, afterschool and holiday clubs and children’s parties for children aged from birth to 11 years.

You would be required to ensure the care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs.  Operate within CSSIW rules, which include; meeting the child: carer ratio, providing a safe and secure crèche environment for children and providing our parents with a first class service.

As well as experience of working with children, you will be required to carry out the planning and preparation of activities, to meet the children’s individual needs, liaising with parents and negotiating working targets ensuring effective communication within the nursery.  Offer all children equal opportunities with regard to their religious persuasion, racial origins, gender, disabilities, cultural or linguistic background; in particular, challenge situations where racism or discrimination is displayed.  A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and team work.
